As soon as you sign up, you'll receive your log in to get started. You'll receive our Quick Start guide with step-by-step instructions to walk you through creating your overall marketing message (you'll use this for every piece of marketing content). The Quick Start guide also walks you through setting up our system - including email marketing, social media scheduler, lead generator creation and more - for your business. You can also opt to use our Jump Start service and have us handle your set up for you to get you marketing in as little as 2 weeks.
Your website is the home base of your marketing and therefore, needs to be set up with the right messaging to convert clients into leads. You also need to have at least one lead generator in place (often a guide or other info your ideal clients can download that you provide as a service to turn them into a warm lead and show what it's like to work with you) that they'll give up their email in exchange for. A blog - or library of articles - is also a must-have for a high converting website. Use the website wireframe worksheet to dial in your messaging and then have your website updated accordingly. You can also have us create a new website through our Jump Start service.
On the 15th of each month, you'll receive the templates for the following month along with a recording of our monthly strategy call. The call is pre-recorded (members are reminded each month to submit questions) and will answer any questions submitted by our Club members and cover concepts and content that will be implemented in the upcoming month. The call is equal parts Ask-Me-Anything and ideas/concepts/guidance for all things small business marketing. I'll share member successes that can be replicated, mistakes to avoid and new ideas for marketing outside of our system including live events, community collaborations and client experience upgrades.
Just like you, we are a very small business - not some big corporate agency. Reach out via email anytime you get stuck or have a question. Our top priority is the success of our members and we keep The 3% Club small so we can be available to assist when needed. Many of our clients have a part-time employee handling their marketing content, so questions pop up often! We also make it easy for you to cancel at any time (30 days notice in writing) or upgrade or downgrade as needed to fit your needs.
Your templates for each month will be uploaded into your client portal with instructions for how to customize (basically copy-and-paste then fill-in-the-blanks) for your business. We recommend setting aside 1 day each month or week to "batch schedule" (i.e. - do it all at once and schedule it to auto-post) your marketing content so you can run your business and let it work on auto-pilot. We do recommend checking in on social media comments weekly, but everything else can be scheduled ahead of time. We fondly refer to this as Marketing Day...and, yes...with our system, you really can do it in one day per month.
• As soon as you sign up for The 3% Club, you'll receive log-in info for your client portal where you can access our Quick Start guide to start creating your overall messaging. This usually is done through data you may already have or through a client survey. Your final messaging includes who you help, what problem you solve for them, the services/products you provide, your expertise and experience (why you are the best option to solve their problem), consequences they might face if they don't work with you, what their life will look like when they do work with you, the benefits they'll experience from working with you, your empathy for their problem, and the transformation they'll experience from working with you. This is a psychological deep dive to determine exactly what potential clients need and want to hear to choose you.
• Once your messaging is established, you'll use it to update your existing website or create your new website. Our worksheet will walk you through exactly what your website should say and how it should be set up. You can either DIY this step, take the updates to your designer or opt to have us create a new website through our Jump Start service. Through this service, we'll create a beautifully designed website that showcases an elite level of professionalism and says all the right things to establish trust and authority. The second worksheet in our Quick Start guide will walk you through creating your lead generator (something potential clients can download from your website for a taste of what it's like to work with you to build trust and authority). You can use an app such as Canva to create a lead generator or have it designed for you. This step is also part of our Jump Start service. You'll also learn how to set up your email marketing with at least 1 automated sequence (when they enter their email to get your lead generator, this series of emails will be triggered to start sending automatically). You'll also audit your social media accounts (or set them up if needed) and connect them to our favorite social media management app so you can batch schedule your social media posts and interact with comments all in one place.
• Our Quick Start guide will also take you through a client experience audit to make sure that once your amazing marketing takes affect and clients come to you, the experience they have creates stark-raving fans.
• Once your marketing infrastructure is in place, you'll receive your monthly marketing templates on the 15th of each month to give you time to customize and schedule your content. The monthly templates you'll receive are: a new blog post (an article to showcase your expertise and build SEO - help search engines find you - with lots of great keywords), 20+ social media posts, and 4 emails. We'll also send you a video of our monthly member call answering questions submitted from members, sharing member successes, and giving tips for customizing the templates for various types of businesses.
• Within our member library, you'll learn how to track basic analytics in plain English to determine what's working and should be doubled-down on and what can be changed. We reach out to you to remind you to do this each month.
• You will have the ability to email us with questions at any time. We know that a lot of our 3% Club members are solo-preneuers wearing all of the hats or very small businesses with a part-time employee implementing your marketing and we are here to support that.
• Because we work ahead 30 days, we require 30 days written notice to cancel your membership. We are a small business like you and we are run by humans who care so a simple email is all that is needed to cancel.
